About this property<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The abrasion resistance of a belt depends on its covers and the abrasive power of the transported product, the cleaning system, brushes, scrapers, conveyor skirts, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to establish a relationship between the different belts to know which are the most suitable for applications that require this property, esbelt\u00ae laboratory performs comparisons using the Taber Test<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Taber Test<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Taber test<\/strong> consists of subjecting samples of the belt to the action of abrasive wheels that wear away the surface of the belt during a specific number of turns or cycles. For optimal results, the same test conditions should be maintained in all comparative tests. The initial weight of the samples is determined prior to the test. Once finished, they are weighed again, so that the difference between the initial and final weight will indicate the wear or loss of cover. The greater the weight lost, the worse the abrasion resistance of the belt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Results of some comparisons between our belts and those of the competition. The abrasion resistance determined according to the procedure detailed in ISO 5470-1<\/strong>, performed under the following test conditions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equipment used: TABER ABRASER 5151 \u2013 Abrasive wheels: H-18 \u2013 Overload weight: 1000 g \u2013 Total number of cycles: 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to equivalent belts on the market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Results:<\/strong> Our Hipro belts lose on average 3 times less material than equivalent belts on the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PVC Breda<\/a> Belts<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Compared to standard commodity belts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Febor<\/a> Sugar Belts <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Compared to rubber and PVC belts from 6 competitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
